peg / align tools - extend / shorten the control template to meet
This function is primarily for use after using the make transition function.

The control template is extended or shortened as necessary to make a neat boundary with the selected background template, at the selected peg position:

Note that for this function the control template alignment is not disturbed, and the position of the fixing peg within it is immaterial. The template is extended, not shifted.
If a perfectly neat boundary cannot be achieved, a message will appear showing the extent of any small discrepancies, in order that you can decide whether to accept them.
